📻
Example (Teil 1):

« Achtung, eine Durchsage für die Fahrgäste des ICE 725 nach München. Der Zug hat wegen technischer Probleme etwa 25 Minuten Verspätung. Wir bitten um Ihr Verständnis. »

Question: Der Zug fährt pünktlich ab. → Falsch (25 min delay).

6. Teil 4 — Media debate (~10 min)

A radio/TV debate between 2-3 speakers on a societal theme (environment, education, technology, social media) with 8 True/False questions. Played only once. The hardest Teil: you must distinguish each speaker's opinion.

7. The 4 classic Hören B1 pitfalls

  1. Waiting to understand everything. The audio never stops. Decide immediately after the passage, even if you didn't understand 20%.
  2. Confusing opinions (Teil 3 and 4). The interviewer often plays devil's advocate. Focus on WHAT THE EXPERT says, not on the question.
  3. Missing negations. nicht, kein, nie, keinesfalls, weder … noch reverse the entire meaning. Underline them mentally.
  4. Getting stuck on an unknown word. Skip and move to the next question. B1 doesn't require understanding 100% of the vocabulary — 70% is enough.
